Punjab News: Punjab CM Condemns Attack on SAD Leader Sukhbir Badal, Calls for Impartial Probe

Punjab News: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann strongly condemned the attack on Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Sukhbir Singh Badal, emphasizing the need for an impartial investigation. In a post on X, Mann lauded the alertness of Punjab Police, stating, "The conspiracy to defame Punjab and Punjabis has been foiled. I appreciate the diligence of the police and strongly condemn the attack on Sukhbir Badal ji."

Punjab Police Avert Major Incident, Arrest Attacker on the Spot

Speaking at an event in Mohali, the CM confirmed he is in regular contact with the Director General of Police (DGP) and senior officers in Amritsar. He assured strict action against those responsible for the attack. Mann also congratulated the 3-4 police personnel in plain clothes who prevented a larger incident.

Acknowledging the religious sensitivities at Guru Ki Nagri, where devotees cannot be frisked, Mann described the attack as an unfortunate event but praised the swift response of the police.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) also condemned the incident, with senior spokesperson Malvinder Singh Kang echoing the CM’s sentiments.
